Big Changes and new chapters

Well, it's been a hot minute since I last poured my heart into this blog, and when I say a lot has changed, I mean it in the most profound way.

When I last posted, I was a married mum to a seven-year-old, juggling full-time work and sharing my life. From meal plans to day trips, outfit challenges, and my favorite small businesses, my love for all things colorful fashion remains unchanged. But my life? It's done a complete 360. In 2023, I ended my marriage, closing the chapter on a relationship that began when I was just 19. I moved out of our rented home and into the comforting embrace of family, saving my pennies and plotting my next steps as a single parent.

I spent 10 months hibernating in the countryside, trying to save as much as humanly possible. I learned to drive (finally), and in the most exciting twist of fate, I bought a house! Yes, this avocado toast-loving millennial achieved the impossible. I might share a little more on this process in a stand alone post, if you would be interested?

We all know that social media is the go-to for instant gratification, a quick snapshot or story shared in the blink of an eye. But let's face it, it has its shadows. So, I've decided to return to the nostalgic embrace of blogging, hoping this online journaling can once again be my sanctuary of comfort and community.

Moving forward, I plan to use this blog as a canvas for my new chapter. Expect to see more of my journey as a single parent, navigating the highs and lows with a sprinkle of humour and a dash of style. I'll be sharing my adventures in homeownership, from DIY projects to decorating tips, and of course, my ongoing love affair with colorful fashion. This space will also be a haven for self-discovery and vibrant living, where I'll explore the little joys that make life beautiful. So, grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine), and join me as I embrace this new beginning with open arms and an open heart.

Until next time, my wonderful weirdos, keep your head high, your coffee strong, and your life bursting with color and dopamine.

Nelly
